Over time, the mechanical components of the float switch, such as the float arm or switch mechanism, can wear out or become damaged, leading to failure. This can result from normal wear and tear, corrosion, or exposure to debris or sediment in the sump pit. I removed the old pump and replaced with a new 2” ejector pump. Tested pump and cleaned up the work area.

A furnace hot surface ignitor is an electrical device that lights the burner in a gas furnace, turning fuel into heat. Completed furnace maintenance cleaning and safety inspection.
